July 23

Warmed up 5 minutes then did 5:1s for 3 miles on the treadmill, running at 6.4 MPH. Then did 25 minutes on the elliptical. Moving right along. Have run three consecutive days - woo hoo! And made myself wear the New Balances.

I came across this while looking at something else online, and oh my goodness - it is truly an amazing story. I think it makes us realize just how much we take our ability to run, let alone jog or walk, for granted:

This father/son duo have done tons of races together - the son has been unable to speak or walk since birth but the father, at 66 years old, does marathons, triathalons (IRONMAN!), and numerous other races - while either pushing his son in a wheelchair or CARRYING him during the swimming portion of triathalons. Pretty amazing stuff - definitely worth a watch. They've done far more races than we've done combined!

Watch the first 5 minutes, it's a very touching story - unbelievable actually, and prepare to have a kleenex or t-shirt sleeve handy.
