July 1 marks our first day of blogging about our adventures and also our first day of running in the rain. Not as enjoyable as singing in the rain, but hey, what do we care — we got sloshed! (and before 6:30 a.m.!) Well, our shoes did. We were soaked by the mile mark and had no choice but to turn back. So, it was a short day for us, but we still gave it the ole college try!

Today's topics ran the gamut: from who exactly brings in the faux flowers in the ladies community restroom at work (Summer believes that'd be the rednecks; Caron goes with "Sally") to an in-depth discussion on how rain is really just a derivitave of bum's pee. (see: evaporation cycle) Strange topics, yes, but that's what keeps us coming back for more. We even veered off those topics and touched upon Summer's dislike of key lime pie and cheesecake (especially key lime cheesecake) and we threw in an Oregon Trail reference for good measure. Our races aren't until January (Summer) and February (Caron and Summer) of next year, so we're on track for more fun stories to share in the meantime. And...they do say laughing burns calories, so what better way to spend our mornings?
